Automotive Service Department Manager

Summary
McKeown Motor Sales is seeking an Experienced Service Manager who will be responsible for the supervision and leadership of the dealership's Service department. He/she will respond to customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and professional manner and will efficiently manage the service team to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is reached. The Service Manager's responsibilities will also include the management of all staff in the service department.

Requirements
High School diploma
Previous management experience in a technical environment with proven leadership abilities
Strong working knowledge of mechanical application/repair techniques
Able to deal with people in a tactful and professional manner

Job Duties
Oversee/manage the Service department's operations and scheduling
Advise customers on work performed, general vehicle condition and future repair requirements
Manage quality assurance by maintaining quality of all garage activities
Ensure completion of shop maintenance and repair work
Advise mechanics of work that must be completed
Conduct regular performance reviews for all Service department staff
Ensure compliance with company safety standards 
Monitor departmental performance against goals to ensure that progress is being made
Enhance procedures to meet the goals of the department
Examine reports to determine the operational activities of the company, ensuring optimum performance
Other duties as required
